If you’re a fan of 90s rock, the news of Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler, and Gin Blossoms performing at the iconic Whitewater Amphitheater likely made your heart race. Situated along the scenic Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas, this venue is celebrated for its breathtaking views and vibrant atmosphere. The combination of these three legendary bands promised a night packed with catchy tunes and memorable moments.

From the outset, the excitement was tangible. Music lovers from near and far gathered, eager to revisit their youthful days of jamming to these hits. As the sun dipped behind the hills, casting a warm glow, anticipation filled the air for an unforgettable evening.

The night kicked off with the Spin Doctors, a band that made waves in the early 90s with hits like "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong." Their infectious rock, blues, and funk sound had the audience dancing right from the start.

Fans bounced to the beat as the band played their greatest hits. It was hard not to sing along as hundreds joined in, harmonizing enthusiastically. With their upbeat energy and engaging performance, the Spin Doctors proved why they remain a staple in 90s music culture.

Frontman Chris Barron stood out with his charisma. His witty interactions and enthusiasm reminded the audience that the band was just as thrilled to perform as the crowd was to appreciate them.

Following the Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler took the stage, minus their lead singer and harmonica master John Popper, who was battling the dreaded COVID. The travelers would carry on with a little help from their friends, Chriss Barron and Robin Wilson, filling in. What ensued would be a free-for-all, including extended solos and a handful of classic cover songs, including Tom Petty, Van Halen, and Texas guys, ZZ Top. Blues Traveler made the most out of a tough situation and appeared to have a great time doing it.

As the evening wound down, the Gin Blossoms stole the spotlight, ready to end the night on a high note. With a collection of catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, they have earned a special place in fans' hearts over the years.

Gin Blossoms would take the stage in front of a nearly sold-out Whitewater Amphitheater with "Follow You Down" followed by the fun party song "Hold Me Down". The band, featuring Lead singer Robin Wilson, Lead guitarist Scotty Johnson, Rhythm guitarist Jesse Valenzuela, Bassist Bill Leen, and Drummer Scott Hessel, were definitely firing on all cylinders.

The setlist was a dream come true for a Gin Blossoms fan as they covered just about the whole debut album, minus one of my personal favorites, "Cajun Song".This show had a best-of vibe, and the crowd loved every minute of it. In an out of left field move GB, along with members of the other bands, pulled out a killer cover of Elton John's "Rocket Man". It's always a treat to catch a GB show, and this venue was the perfect location for a '90s rock party.
